An I/O bus that sends multiple I/O signals to the controller, which reads the I/O signals.

This is called the I/O bus. I/O boards do not exchange data with each other.

The rate of the I/O bus is not high. From tens of K to several megabytes.

This is related to the development of computer technology. It was 20K in the early 1980s,

40K in the mid-1980s, 80K in the late 1980s, and several megabytes in the 1990s.

For the sake of speed, it is best to have a parallel bus. With a parallel bus, its I/O modules

must be adjacent to the controller module.
